The Pokémon Company International has announced the next chapter into the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon franchise: Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon
The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series is an interesting addition to the franchise, it’s less about collecting ’em all and more about travelling the world and helping other Pokémon with quests, tasks, and of course, battles. It’s a little like Final Fantasy meets Pokemon. The last game, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity launched in 2012, so it’s about time we had another adventure in the world of Pokemon.
Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon is the latest title to land on the Nintendo 3DS which is expected to land in North America first in Autumn, it’ll then launch in Europe in early 2016 and will once again see the return of the procedurally-generated dungeons as well as letting players team up with Pokémon both common, as well as legendary and mythical Pokémon.
Nintendo and The Pokémon Company International has revealed that the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon franchise has sold 13 million copies so far, spread across the various existing titles. Unfortunately that’s all we know about the latest game for now. I guess you could say that they’re keeping it… A mystery…
