SEGA Removes 19 Games from Mobile Storefronts

SEGA has revealed which games they’ll be removing from mobile stores for not meeting standards

Earlier this month SEGA revealed that they’ll be removing some games from mobile stores due to having a new focus on the standards of their mobile offerings. Although SEGA didn’t reveal which games they’ll be removing, now a full list has been revealed and it’s quite a cull.

In total SEGA has removed 19 apps from mobile stores including some pretty popular games like Jet Set Radio, Golden Axe, and a good number of Super Monkey Ball games.

Here’s the full rundown:

  • After Burner Climax
  • Jet Set Radio
  • Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2
  • Super Monkey Ball Adventure
  • Super Monkey Ball Tip’n’Tilt 1 &2
  • Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll
  • Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz
  • Altered Beast
  • Ecco the Dolphin
  • Golden Axe 1, 2 & 3
  • Phantasy Star 2
  • Streets of Rage 1 & 3
  • Space Harrier 2
  • Virtua Fighter 2

This might not be the end of these titles as SEGA did say that “given the right situation, these titles may return in an updated form”, though I wouldn’t hold your breath.

For those who already own these games, SEGA has revealed that they will forever remain on your account until the device you use to download them no longer becomes compatible with the games.
