Rogue One’s director Gareth Edwards could be casting Diego Luna in the first Star Wars Anthology film.
IMDB is already crediting Luna with a role in the 2016 film, alongside Ben Mendelsohn and Felicity Jones, with rumoured tags on Sam Claflin and Riz Ahmed.
Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One will be the first in a series of Star Wars films set away from the core films. This seems to be a move by the suits pulling the Star Wars strings to expand the Star Wars universe after they unforgivably retconned the existing EU.
The Anthology films currently seem to be a quadrilogy, with 2016 and 2018 slated for film releases and two more in the pipeline with no current estimated time of arrival.
Next year will see the release of the first Anthology film, Rogue One, in which “Rebels set out on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star.” Exciting.
