Ubisoft have revealed a fairly cryptic teaser for their Assassin’s Creed reveal later this month

The next Assassin’s Creed is going to be unveiled later this month, on May 12, where Ubisoft will be holding a live-stream event at 5PM UK time. The teaser trailer which you can see above is fairly cryptic but at the same time very revealing. Because let’s face it, we already know the next Assassin’s Creed will be set in the Victorian era and this teaser further confirms that.

Assassin’s Creed Victory, an Assassin’s Creed game set in the Victorian Era was incidentally unveiled in December last year, and while Ubisoft acknowledged that it was indeed the next Assassin’s Creed, they promised more information at a later date. That later date is May 12.

At the time of the leak of Assassin’s Creed Victory, Ubisoft revealed that the game had been in the works for “the past few years,” so it’ll be interesting to see how the game differs from the mixed reviews of Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Interestingly the hidden dagger in the video above as well as the whole get-up of the Assassin featured, feels very Steampunk, It’ll be interesting if that’s something Ubisoft dabble in with the next Assassin’s Creed title.
