There’s trouble in paradise for some The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt players
Aside from the graphical woes and the occasional crash, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt seems to be running quite smoothly for some, and while CD Projekt RED are working hard to solve the minor issues that are arising, one massive issue has just piled on top of them.. Some Xbox One players are experiencing a bug which causes their game saves to corrupt leaving players who have put hours into the game with nothing.
Fortunately the problem has been noted and a fix will be coming in an upcoming patch. The only problem here is that there’s no ETA on when said patch will arrive. In a forum post on the official CD Projekt RED forums, quest designer Philipp Weber said that the team are “aware of the issue” treating it “very seriously,” adding that they hope to put a fix in the patch soon.
A patch for the PC version of the game has already been launched, but CDPR have said the console patch won’t be landing this week. Until then, a few workarounds have been figured out with varied results.
