The Division’s new developer diary gives us an insight into the often over-looked part of AAA games
Since Tom Clancy’s The Division was first announced and gameplay shown at E3 2013, it piqued the interest of a lot of people, myself included. Since then, they’ve been releasing developer diaries and podcasts to keep people up to date on the development of the game. As it’s set for release this year, it’s good see that they’re keeping people in the loop. The most recent of the dev diaries, which are titled Division Insiders, targets the soundtrack portion of development, and gives us an idea of what we can expect.
I really liked how the composer, Ola Strandh, who has worked on titles such as the Ground Control Series and World in Conflict, showed a real passion for what he does. I gained a lot of confidence in the quality of The Division after seeing how dedicated he was, and I hope it can exceed the standards we’ve seen from previous Ubisoft titles. Check out the video and see what you think. Personally, I’m going to keep my eye on these dev diaries over the coming months to see how it all comes together building up to release, and we’re sure to see some more gameplay during E3.
