A quiet week for releases puts Mortal Kombat X once again in the top spot, but can this week change that?
With little in the way of releases last week, Mortal Kombat X sits happily in the top spot for the third consecutive week. The brawler just needs one more week at number one to match the current four-week record set by Battlefield Hardline, though with the likes of Project CARS launching this week, I’m doubting it’ll happen.
Last week saw little in the way of new releases, but the bank holiday weekend saw sales across entertainment software climb 6 per cent. Grand Theft Auto V remains in the second spot this week, with Battlefield Hardline sneaking close behind thanks to a slight boost in sales. FIFA 15 climbs a place into the fourth spot thanks to retailer promotions on the Xbox 360 FIFA 15 bundle. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition has dropped a place and remains ahead of Dying Light who saw an impressive 79 per cent increase in sales putting it in sixth place.
Minecraft: Xbox Edition also slips down, with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare slipping down to eighth place. Halo: The Master Chief Collection climbs back into the top ten at number nine, and WWE 2K15 remains in the tenth spot for a second week.
