The team behind Yooka-Laylee have always been a daft bunch, but this latest update shows you just how silly they can be
In the latest update for the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor, Yooka-Laylee, Playtonic Games has revealed a brand new character called Trowzer. He’ll be the character you poke to unlock new abilities and moves, provided you have a bit of dosh.
There’s just one thing, Trowzer is a snake, wearing trousers, or in this case, shorts. Towzer is in fact, a Trouser Snake.. *stifled laughter* Childish humour aside, Trowzer is the first of many characters coming to the game, and if this is a case of start as you mean to go on, it’s likely the other characters will be just as daft, and likely involve more innuendos.
Playtonic Games revealed that:
Trowzer is a business-snake whose career never took off. Not that he knows it – the smug, serpent salesman thinks he’s the bee’s knees (not that he has knees), and for a little dosh he’ll teach you some of the slick moves he picked up on the high-stakes sales floor.
The team also added a few extras to the FAQ which you can find below:
- Digial Deluxe: Please note that the download code in the digital deluxe version and higher tiers is for a platform of your choice.
- Physical: Please note that, as part of the Kickstarter, there are currently no plans for a physical version for consoles.
- Special thanks: Special thanks is included in the console tiers
- “All previous rewards”: This does not include limited number rewards
You can check out the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter here, it’s currently sitting at £1.5 million.. blimey.
