After various rumours of a new controller and new 1TB Xbox One console have surfaced, Microsoft has today confirmed both products.

Today Microsoft has confirmed that a new Xbox One is on the way sporting a 1TB hard drive. In addition to that, they also confirmed that with the console will come the newly designed Xbox One Wireless Controller which comes with a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a tonne of other features. Finally, Microsoft also announced the standard 500GB Xbox One console will now be priced at £299.99 permanently.

The Xbox One 1TB console will be launching at £349.99, which includes the controller which not only includes the 3.5mm jack, but it also has volume and mute controls on gaming headsets which adds the option to adjust headset volume, mic monitoring, and voice and game audio balance all in the Settings on the Xbox One. The controller also comes with fine-tuned bumpers for a more consistent performance everywhere along the full-surface of the bumper.

The standalone version of the controller in black will be launching in “late summer” as well as a new camouflage design in silver and black with the Xbox One Special Edition Covert Forces Wireless Controller, which starts to ship to retailers from June 16. The 1TB Xbox One Console will also be launching on this date.


Microsoft also added that more accessories are on the way including an Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows allowing for wireless play on PC’s using your Xbox One wireless controller.
