In December, Mojang and Telltale Games unveiled something pretty interesting: Minecraft Story Mode, a Telltale Games’ take on the incredibly popular sandbox creation game. But since then neither company has spilled any more beans on what the project will contain. But more info may be coming soon.
With Minecon beginning in London this weekend, more information about the Telltale / Mojang collaboration, at least, that’s what Telltale teased earlier this week on Twitter..

Taking place from July 4-5, Minecon is an annual celebration about all-things Minecraft, so it comes as no surprise that Telltale would have something to announce this weekend. We’ll be reporting the news as and when it happens to watch out for that.
So far, all we know about the Minecraft Story Mode is that it’ll tell an original story “driven by player choice.” It’s not an expansion, but a standalone game. We’re unsure whether it’ll take on a sandbox format like Minecraft, or a more narrative driven format like Telltale’s various series’ like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones.
Story Mode launches in 2015 for PC, console, and mobiles.
