Following the fairly dismal reception of the Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung worked hard to create something its customers really wanted. As a result of that we got the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge two devices which are pretty great in their own right. But according to sources, sales may not be as good as expected.
The S6 and S6 Edge are two devices which prove that Samsung has listened to its users, there’s less bloatware, the devices look and feel much better, and are once again desirable devices from Samsung. Unfortunately, despite critical praise, sales may be lower than expected.
According to a report from BusinessKorea, sources within the industry believe that operating profits are going to come in lower than Samsung expected for the second quarter of 2015. Even though industry experts have predicted that the S6 will bring Samsung back into black, the latest projections show Samsung’s profits dropping quite significantly year-on-year from Q2 2014. Specifically 24 per cent.
With Apple close to announcing a new version of their iPhones this year, everyone is looking towards Samsung to improve over what everyone assumes will be the iPhone 6S from Apple, which are generally more refreshed versions of their flagship devices.
