Nintendo Rumoured to be Working on a Loot Crate Competitor

According to reports, Nintendo is working on its own subscription box similar to Loot Crate, the popular monthly mystery box which offers gamers and nerds alike the chance to score some limited merch and apparel.

According to MCV, the Nintendo online store will offer a new subscription box service called “The N-Box” which will feature toys, clothing, and other merch inspired by and branded with Nintendo icons. Think Zelda figures, Mario t-shirts, and Pokémon plushies.

Much like Loot Crate, the N-Box will be available either on a per-month basis, or a subscription for three, six, or twelve months.

According to the report, Nintendo has failed to comment on this story.

As someone who’s been apprehensive about Loot Crate due to some of its themes focusing on things I don’t really like, the idea of having a Nintendo themed box every month is quite appealing.
