OnePlus has now officially unveiled the OnePlus 2 and it’s an absolute corker of a smartphone. OnePlus smartphones have been dubbed flagship killers for some time now, and this one is definitely just that. But getting your hands on one might not be as easy as OnePlus had originally hoped.
OnePlus revealed before announcing the OnePlus 2 that the new invite system won’t be as frustrating as it was for the OnePlus One, but from the looks of it, that may not be the case. As it stands right now, over 1 million people have signed up to the reservation list meaning OnePlus has their work cut out for them.
Of course, not everyone of those one million reservations will commit to buy the new device as this is only an indication of interest, and chances are a number of people will use their invite to give to others, or to try and turn a tidy profit. But it’s a pretty exiting number for the company just three days after the official announcement.
Here’s hoping they can get the phone out to enough people to avoid a similar situation as last year.
In case you missed it, the OnePlus 2 is a 5.5-inch device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 on board with 4GB RAM. It’ll come with a fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C charging capabilities, and offer upto 64GB of on board memory. All of this will be priced at the low price of £289 for the higher-end model. Pretty impressive, right?
