Insanely popular dinosaur survival sim, ARK: Survival Evolved has hit an already impressive milestone just a few weeks after the game launched into Early Access on Steam.
ARK: Survival Evolved has shifted a total of 1 million copies since launch and to celebrate Studio Wildcard has announced a collaboration with Epic Games that’ll allow modding support for the game with Unreal 4.
The ARK Dev Kit as it’s being called, launches immediately, with mods already planned by the Player Unknown team, the same team behind the Battle Rotale mod for ARMA III and DayZ. In addition, there’s custom maps from players in the game’s community being planned, as well as mods from Studio Wildcard themselves designed to extend the gameplay in ARK: Survival Evolved.
So now, in addition to the already brilliant gameplay, will come a handful of mods and other updates that’ll likely improve the game much quicker, which I’m sure many players are excited about.
