The first of many Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 PlayStation exclusives are to begin this August as the multiplayer beta for the upcoming title starts this August with a fast pass for all PlayStation 4 players.
During Sony’s E3 media briefing last month, Activision and Sony announced that PlayStation was the new home of Call of Duty. This comes after a fairly lengthy partnership between Activision and Microsoft which saw all of the game’s DLC come first to Xbox consoles.
Now, times have changed and come August 19, those with a PlayStation 4 will be able to dive right into the multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, provided they’ve pre-ordered the game, that is.
We're excited to announce that the #BlackOps3 Multiplayer Beta will begin on 8/19 starting on PS4. More information coming soon!

Other platforms will get the multiplayer beta eventually, but we’re looking at a possible couple of weeks exclusivity before PC and Xbox One players can dive in.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 8. Those who pre-order the game will get access to the multiplayer beta.
