After Famed voice actor, Harry Shearer, announced that he was leaving The Simpsons, fans of the series were worried about what would happen to some of the shows more iconic characters voiced by Shearer, such as Ned Flanders, Mr. Burns, and Otto, to name a few.
Word from the studio was that they’d look for voice actors to replace Shearer, which just caused us to worry a little more, but there’s good news. Shearer isn’t leaving after all reveals The Hollywood Reporter.
It seems Shearer will be taking the same contract extension as his fellow cast members, a two-year deal to be specific, with the option to extend for a further two years. Which does leave us wonder what his motives for leaving were in the first place.
The Simpsons will return for its 27th season this fall.
