Introversion Software, the developers behind one of my personal favourite hacker simulators, Uplink, and the upcoming prison building game, Prison Architect, have finally set a date on when the latter game will actually launch, and it’s about damn time!
Prison Architect has been in development for some time now, with the game launching into alpha as far back as September, 2012, players have been able to dive in right from the beginning. If you’ve been waiting for three years for the full release however, the wait is almost over as a date for the game’s full release is almost upon us.
Today, Introversion Software has revealed that the full version of the game will be coming to Steam in October. It’s still not quite a solid release date just yet, but it’s better than nothing, right?
Prison Architect is pretty much what you think it is. The game puts you in control of creating and designing your own prison that’ll hold some of the most hardened felons, so you’ve got to make sure it’s built up to scratch.
You’ve got to hand it to Introversion though, they’ve managed to consistently support Prison Architect right from the beginning, bringing the game to every gaming event this side of the pond (and possibly beyond), with this week bringing the game to Alpha 35.
To see how the game is shaping up, here’s a gameplay video of Alpha 35:
