Remember just before the launch of Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS, a competition was being held to test young minds and have them create a car of the future with the chance to win a copy of the game, a PlayStation 4, and to meet Nicolas Hamilton? Well that competition has come to an end and 10 year-old Jack Hillery is a champion and the designer of the CAR of the future!
Earlier this year Bandai Namco and Explore Learning teamed up to launch the competition which saw around 8,000 entries, but only one could be the winner. With the competition coming to a close a winner had to be chosen and that winner was crowned by Nicolas Hamilton himself.
10 year old Jack from Bristol created a truly futuristic car. “His slick design was flexible in the middle to ensure uber-manoeuvrability around bends and was good for the environment as it is powered by the wind and the sun,” read the press release.
“I was really impressed by the standard of entries and the imagination behind the CARS of the Future designs. But Jack’s stood out to me, not only did it look great but he had been very creative in how the car would run and even how it would bend around corners! There was such great attention to detail, which is why he was my winner,” announced Nicolas Hamilton who attended the Early Learning centre in Bristol to crown Jack the winner.
Jack walked away with a framed picture of his design, a certificate, and a PlayStation 4, as well as a copy of the game, of course. He also got to meet Nicolas Hamilton, which was also a highlight, I’m sure.
