Following the insanely confusing release announcement for Rise of the Tomb Raider, Square Enix has finally announced today exactly when the upcoming Lara Croft focused romp will be coming to PC and PlayStation 4, and you may have a bit of a wait on your hands.
So, we all know that Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 first, right? Good. Now, although Crystal Dynamics and Microsoft have remained pretty quiet about how long this exclusivity will last, Square Enix has finally let the cat out of the bag.
Let’s get the not-so-bad news out of the way. For those of you that are waiting for the game to land on PC, Square has announced that it’ll be hitting Windows 10 and Steam in early 2016.
Now onto the reeeeeally bad news. Square Enix also detailed the deal between Microsoft, and revealed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for an entire year. That’s right, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be, coming to PlayStation 4 in Holiday 2016.
So, if you’ve been waiting for the next chapter of Lara Croft’s story and you own a PlayStation 4. You’ll have an entire year to wait. Currently there’s no word on a PlayStation 3 version of the game.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will premiere first, exclusively on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10, 2015.
