With the Star Wars Battlefront Alpha beginning today, a swath of information and several gameplay videos and streams have been broadcast and slapped online revealing a lot about what the game may contain when it launches later this year.
While the majority of the videos and streams are being taken down by EA, a good chunk of information has been data mined from the alpha game files including all of the vehicles that’ll be appearing in the alpha and likely in the final game.
So what does the Alpha contain? Well it looks like the 40-player Walker Assault map set on Hoth will be available, as well as the smaller co-operative wave mode set on Tattooine.
As for vehicles, a huge list of them has been created and while some are playable, others such as Star Destroyer, Mon Calimar Capital Ship, and Home One will be featured in the game for background use.
Here’s the list so far: (thanks, NeoGAF)
- T-65 X-wing
- Tie Fighter
- Lambda Shuttle
- Tie-Bomber (may not be in Closed Alpha)
- Corellian Corvette
- Nebulon B Frigate
- ISD (Imperial Star Destroyer)
- Mon Calamari Capital Ship
- Home One (Admiral Ackbar’s Ship)
- Tie Interceptor (may not be in Closed Alpha)
- 74-Z Speeder Bike (may not be in Closed Alpha)
In addition to all of the vehicles and ships, a list of the available weapons has also been added to the NeoGAF thread.
- EE3(most likely for Boba Fett Only)
- Rocket Launcher
Finally, the game’s menu screen has been uploaded which you can see below.
The Star Wars Battlefront Closed Alpha begins at some point today (or has launched already, I’m not sure). The game’s terms and conditions does prohibit any footage being shared or streamed, so don’t be a doofus like a few people already today who have had their Alpha access revoked.
Star Wars Battlefront launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20.
