Free-to-play third person tank shooter, World of Tanks is coming to Xbox One on July 28, developer Wargaming has announced. Bringing tanks, overhauled graphics, and more to the current-gen console.
World of Tanks has been available on PC and the Xbox 360 for some time now, but an Xbox One release has yet to be dated. Now that wait is over as the game launches on Xbox One on July 28. Much like the Xbox 360 version, it’ll be free-to-play for those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
Those without Gold however can have a stab at the game’s 7-day free trial.
The Xbox One version will come with improved graphics, it’ll have cross-platform multiplayer with Xbox 360 players, and shared content and progress across the two consoles with your Xbox Live account.
For those who suck at the tank shooter, just like me, a brand new game mode will be incoming too, a Player vs Environment mode called ‘Proving Grounds’, which will see players team up with AI allies taking on AI enemies in a series of different scenarios.
