In a post on the Playstation Blog, Vice President of Platforms Marketing, John Koller, announced that a new feature would be introduced to the Playstation Plus program in the near future. The feature is called Vote to Play, and, as the name infers, will enable members to vote on games for the upcoming month’s Playstation Plus.
Koller says, “The game with the most votes will automatically be included in our future free game lineup for PlayStation Plus. If your pick didn’t make the lineup, don’t worry. In the first promotion, PlayStation Plus members can get the runner ups at a discount.”
Of course, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to vote for any game you like, and I expect there will be a preordained selection to choose from. Even so, this seems like a pretty great way of putting some of the power back into the hands of members, and may be a good drawcard for people umming and aahing over whether to sign up for a Playstation Plus membership (like me).
