In a move that looks like they’re going back to what they know, writer Tsugumi Ohba (Death Note) and artist Takeshi Obata (Bakugan) announced that they’ll publishing their third manga together later this year, titled Platinum End.
Platinum End is the tale of a boy and an angel, which sounds very similar to Death Note’s boy and death god combo. It’ll release 4 November in Japan, though I’d say it’s likely to hit western audiences in 2016. Here’s some promotional art to whet your appetite.
The manga centers around Mirai Kakehashi, a boy who ‘does not seek out hope in order to live.’ and an angel. With such revered creators, Platinum End is sure to be an absolute blast to read upon launch in Jump Square.
