Digimon fans rejoice as some new screenshots of the upcoming Digimon World: Next Order for PlayStation Vita have been released.
The images don’t show a lot of in terms of game play but they do give us a sense of visuals and the world. It looks that exploring the world will mostly be done on foot and that your Digimon partner will be by your side at all times which is nice. With day and night screenshots it would be fair game to guess there will be a passage of time wise playing the game. Additionally, though these screenshots are still early in development the game looks great for a PlayStation Vita title.
It would also seem that Digimon in Digimon World: Next Order are able to express a number of emotions and facial expressions during the course of the game. Reminds me of Pikachu in Pokemon Yellow but with more random and awesome looking creatures. Looking after your Digimon will be just as important as training them as well so make sure to find the perfect balance.
Digimon World: Next Order is set to release in Japan in 2016 and hopefully will be localized into English soon as that. Though not final localization plans have been confirmed at this point. Until then however there is also Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth which will be coming to North America and Europe sometime in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It could be that the chance of Next Order being localised rests on the success of Cyber Sleuth. Only time will tell and until then check out the most recent trailer below…
