Disney Infinity is a pretty amazing game that, if players put their minds to it, can offer a sheer endless number of possibilities and creations for players to play and build upon. The latest release, Disney Infinity 3.0 throws Star Wars characters and assets into the mix, but this latest release has a little more of a Nintendo feeling about it.
Over the weekend Disney have been promoting a new level which has been created by the team, one which looks awfully familiar. It’s a turf-war type game where players shoot blobs of ink onto various parts of the map in order to paint it that colour. It’s called “Squid Wars” and I have no idea where they managed to get this idea from.
Yep, you guessed it. It’s a pretty brave effort at recreating Splatoon inside Disney Infinity. According to Kotaku – who managed to get hands-on with the new map – it’s a pretty bare bones affair with only a single weapon and a fairly limited play time, but it’s an option, expecially for those who don’t own a Wii U.
You can download Squid Wars right now for Disney Infinity here. Though I’m thinking it won’t be around for long, y’know, with Nintendo being quite protective over their IP.
