I’ve still not seen Daredevil. But then again, I don’t have a Netflix account, so there’s that. But don’t worry I’m here to tell you all about the next Marvel series I’m not going to see.
20th November my friends, it’s coming soon, just in time for the comic book slump. So enjoy everyone, because now we’ll get to see the next member of The Defenders. The TV version of the Avengers.
So, let’s do a little background here:
Jessica Jones is a superhero whose career burnt-out, she had a whack at being a P.I., and more recently married superhero Luke Cage and produced a child – who used to be called Power Man.
Why did I drop that Luke Cage fact? Because in some of the teaser images Marvel and Netflix have dropped, we see Luke Cage. Behind a bar? Let’s hope she doesn’t walk into that bar. That’ll hurt.
We also get a sneak peak at Doctor Who (David Tennant) playing the baddie, The Purple Man. Zebediah Kilgrave a guy that control peoples mind and can glow purple. Jones and Purple Man have a history together, a history of mind control and abuse. It’ll be interesting to see what makes it into the show, considering how dark the source material is.
Krysten Ritter (Don’t Trust the B**** in Apartment 23) is playing Jessica Jones, putting her life back together after having her superhero cut short. But don’t worry, she’ll be cheered by the other obscure Marvel hero Hellcat AKA Patricia Walker AKA Trish Walker, played by Rachael Taylor (Transformers and that bad Charlie’s Angel TV show). Another Defender member from the comics.
So, will we get a reveal for Ironfist? Or maybe. Just maybe some kind of casting news? Come on Marvel, don’t make this one a huge mystery that go on for ages.
