I’ll be honest, I’ve never seen an episode of Attack on Titan, nor have I read any of the manga, but I do know about the overall concept and it sounds pretty interesting. However, this latest trailer from Koei Tecmo for their Attack on Titan video game just looks absolutely mental.
It seems one of the big focuses of the game will be the 3D Maneuver Gear’s controls, and while Koei Tecmo have talked about it a lot, this new trailer gives us a first glimpse at how it looks in action.
Attack on Titan, from what I’ve read, sees giant naked humanoids, called Titans, invading a walled city. It’s up to the residents of that city to put these Titans to rest before the entire human population is consumed by them. Using grappling hooks and melee weapons, Titans are taken down one-by-one, and if this trailer is anything to go by, it’s a lot of intense, insane fun.
Also, the fact that a single warrior manages to take-down a Titan all by himself, in the most brutal way possible, is enough to keep me interested in the game.
Attack on Titan is set to launch in Japan this winter, then in the west in 2016 for Playstation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
