It looks like PC players who have been looking forward to the release of Need for Speed, have some pretty bad news coming their way. EA Games has announced that the upcoming series reboot will be delayed until 2016.
EA Games and Ghost Games have revealed that Need for Speed will be delayed until Spring 2016. The reason for this is after hearing feedback from the PC community, and an unlocked frame rate is a “massive priority” for Ghost Games, and to deliver this they’ve decided to push the release back a few months.
This delay is limited to just the PC version, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are still set for release on November 3.
Ghost Games say that this decision will give the team the necessary development time to increase the visuals that can be delivered on PC. To make the blow a little easier, they’ve also revealed that any post-release content for consoles up until release, will come as part of the PC release from day one.
