Nintendo has confirmed in an interview with IGN that they’ll continue making Nintendo Direct videos, the regular video broadcasts from Nintendo updating fans on upcoming releases and other Nintendo related happenings.
Following the loss of former Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata, the future of their Direct Broadcasts became uncertain due to Iwata usually hosting the videos. Fortunately, according to Nintendo, they will continue,
“Nintendo Directs will continue,” the publisher told IGN, “but we have no details to provide now on who will be featured or the topics that will be covered.”
Though we were never told they would stop, we kind of just assumed that due to Iwata having such a major role in each video, they may no longer continue. Could Nintendo’s new President take-on the role?
