Hot damn, it’s that time already. The Rainbow Six Siege Closed Beta starts today! It’s due to go live at 5pm BST today and Ubisoft have said it will be ending on September 28th. The beta will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC. You do need a key to get into it though, and there have been plenty of chances to get one leading up to this. If you haven’t yet managed to secure one, there should definitely be some floating around the internet somewhere.

The beta will include three maps, House, Hereford and Consulate, both day and night versions. There will also be 14 operators (classes) and three different game modes including, Secure Area, Disarm Bomb, and Terrorist Hunt Classic, which is the more classic Rainbow Six experience.

If you’re itching to get into it, the pre-loads should be available now, and estimates show it will be around a 7GB download. I’ve been lucky enough to play it the last couple of days during a technical test and I have to say it’s an absolute blast to play. The beta ends on September 28, so if you’ve got access get stuck in before it’s all gone!

Rainbow Six Siege releases on December 1 this year – have you pre-ordered? Let us know in the comments!
