Frontier Developments has announced the release date for their immense space survival sim Elite: Dangerous on Xbox One, revealing that players will be able to get lost in space on October 6.
The news was revealed during a reddit AMA with studio CEO, David Braben, who answered a number of questions proposed to him by the community. He of course confirmed the release date of October 6 for the Xbox One version of the game, and also added that those currently playing the game via the Xbox Preview Program will also get an exclusive reward for taking part.
Braben also wrote briefly about the game’s first expansion, Elite Dangerous: Horizon, saying that it’d also release on the Xbox One, but no definite timeframe was offered as to when that content would launch.
Elite: Dangerous has been part of the Xbox Preview Program since its announcement at E3 earlier this year. The Xbox Preview Program is essentially an Xbox One version of Early Access where players can purchase the game in a beta state and help with bug reporting and more, helping to shape the game before release.
