Classic psychological horror point-and-click adventure game Sanitarium will soon be available on iOS and Android, coming to us from DotEmu, a developer and publisher known for modern releases of older games.
This new version of Sanitarium has been specifically recreated for mobile devices, including a number of new features such as an autosave system, two different control modes (touch and pad), an optional hint system, a new inventory system and more.
The original Sanitarium, developed by DreamForge Intertainment (sic), was released in 1998 and has since gained a reputation as one of the best point-and-click adventures of the era, following the story of Max Laughton, a man who finds himself waking up in an asylum after a car accident. His journey to escape takes him through a world that ends up being just as creepy as it is, forgive me for this one, insane.
The game will be released for mobile platforms on October 29th, just in time for Halloween.
