Gorgeously eerie looking space survival exploration sim, Adr1ft has suffered another delay but this time for a good reason. During a ton of Oculus Rift VR announcements yesterday, developer Three One Zero announced that the game is set to become an Oculus Rift launch title.
The first person space survival sim already looks absolutely stunning, so throw VR into the mix and you’re onto a winner. Yesterday publisher 505 Games and Three One Zero announced that it’ll be coming along side the Oculus Rift in Q1 of 2016 after being hand-selected by Oculus as a “premier launch title”.
Though there’s currently no set release date for either, once the Oculus Rift has a solid release date, that’ll be exactly when Adr1ft will launch too.
We couldn’t be more pleased to work directly with the Oculus team to bring ADR1FT to the Oculus Rift,” said Adam Orth, Creative Director of Three One Zero. “The excitement we’ve seen from our fans around ADR1FT VR and the groundbreaking technology of the Oculus Rift™ is a special combination; short of actually being in space, this is the best way to experience zero gravity.”
The game will be launched on the Oculus platform and PC via Steam in the first quarter of 2016. Additional platforms are set to be announced in the future.
