At this point you’re probably wondering what exactly is going on over at Robomodo… First they release a questionable gameplay trailer, they they completely re-work the art style, and now, the game’s day-one patch will be bigger than the actual game itself.
According to GameCabin, the on-disc portion of the game will install at a fairly reasonable 4.6GB, however, you’ll then need to download the game’s Day-One patch, a patch which usually fixes some minor things after the game finishes development, however, this patch is almost double the size of the game itself.
With Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 launching today in North America and in Europe on Friday, there’s currently no telling what exactly the game includes if the day-one patch is almost double the size.
The game comes as both a physical and digital release, but at this point, Activision may as well just have launched it digitally, it’d make sense considering you’re downloading the majority of the game on day-one.
We, along with many other publications, are yet to actually receive our review copies of the game, so it may be worth holding off as our review will likely arrive post-launch. Though I’m already a little apprehensive.
