Twenty seven seasons after anyone who has ever seen an episode of The Simpsons, something that most people probably thought was never going to happen… is happening.

Mmhm, kinda creepy, isn’t it? Anyway, back to the matter at hand.

Screenwriter and Producer Al Jean talked about it during an interview, stating that the reveal of the worst kept secret in Springfield would happen over two episodes, and would be a reveal to the one and only person who doesn’t know that Smithers is gay, Mr. Burns.

An interesting twist on the character we’ve all come to know and feel sorry for, hm? This ought to be a good one to watch.
