The Witcher 3 is set to receive a massive patch before the release of its first expansion, Hearts of Stone, on October 13.
Arriving in early October, to coincide with Geralt’s next adventure, the update promises a multitude of bug fixes and improvements for all versions of the game and the long-awaited inclusion of the all important PS4 graphic instability that has plagued the version since the release of a previous patch.
[su_quote cite=”Marcin Momot, CD Projekt RED Community Manager.”]“The patch is on the way. Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive. The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance (as well as other platforms) plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience.”
Promising a new story line, Hearts of Stone will add at least another 10 hours of game play to it’s already exhaustive story that will be directly influenced by your in-game decisions.
Set to Include a host of new characters, a unique romance option that won’t affect your current trysts with Triss or Yennefer (if you prefer your women cold) and bigger and nastier monsters and the newly revealed Runeswords and Glyphwords
Runeswords and Glyphwords will dramatically impact the mechanics of the game by augmenting your weapons and armour with various boosts and will revolutionise the way you play!
Also included will be a Dark Souls-esq item inventory assigned to your D pad for quick access to potions that you would have other had to pause to assign and activate.
After purchasing pre-release version of the game and it’s expansion pass this is something I have been eager to get my hands on and I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on Geralt’s latest adventure as soon as it’s released!
