It’s that time of year again, time to start making Smores! It’s also that time of year that a new version of Android is set to roll-out, coincidentally, it’s Android Marshmallow and it looks like it may be rolling out quicker than we expected.
Set to land initially on the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, the first non-Nexus device set to get the Marshmallow treatment is the LG G4! Though that comes as no surprise, really, considering the Nexus 5X is also an LG-made device.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow is set to roll-out to the LG G4 next week, and may even possibly beat the October 22 release of Google’s own Nexus devices. Though don’t get to ahead of yourself, as most existing Nexus devices are already receiving Android Marshmallow, so you won’t be the world’s first.
Oddly, for those of us in the UK and US, we’ll still have to wait, as the first country to get the new update is Poland, with other markets in Europe, Asia, and America to follow soon after, which could be months. In the past LG has rolled out updates to Poland first, only for it to land months later elsewhere.
Fortunately, LG are working on a release schedule, so keep an eye out for that when it’s eventually published.
