Sony has announced this morning that as of November 22, 2015, the PlayStation 4 has sold a total of 30.2 million consoles worldwide.
As you might expect, that’s a pretty big number and was likely achieved with this year’s holiday bundles which pack together the console plus a number of massive titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront.
“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago,” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. “We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”
In the press release, Sony also decided to throw a reminder of a couple of the games coming to the console in the near future, such as Dragon Quest Builders, Ryu Ga Gotoku, Bloodborn The Old Hunters, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and much more.
According to Sony, the PlayStation 4 has sold more than any other PlayStation console.
