Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has this week unveiled a new In-ear Stereo Headset that’s coming for PlayStation 4, something players have been requesting for some time, though, it’s going to cost you.
The new headset, that’ll cost you £77.99 features a built-in microphone and noise-reducing AudioShield technology. It’s set to launch this December and offers, what we can only assume at this point, a much better gaming experience.
“The wired headset restricts unwanted sound from the environment around you – meaning every journey, from epic gaming adventures to your daily commute, becomes free from unwanted noise and distraction. Simply power up the AudioShield to experience increased immersion as you go deeper into the game-world, and enjoy uninterrupted audio every time you listen to music,” Sony revealed on the PlayStation Blog.
The headset itself comes with a battery that has around 15 hours of use for its noise reducing feature, which can be charged by the cable included in the box. The headset can also be used for smartphones and tablets too. There’s also an added microphone mute switch, an in-line call button and volume control.
Though the headset is fairly pricey, we’re pleased it can be used outside of our gaming experience as it comes with a standard 3.5mm jack, so we can use it with smartphones, tablets, and of course MP3 players.
The In-ear Stereo Headset for PS4 launches in the UK and Ireland from 4th December and across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Africa from 9th December.
