Bandai Namco have recently revealed that they will be releasing a number of games to the West next year including the much wanted God Eater and God Eater 2.
God Eater is best explained to those unfamiliar with the series as a Monster Hunter-like series where you fight giant monsters in an attempt to save the world. The game is set in Aragamis in 2050s Japan, and has already sold over five million copies in Japan alone with just one Westen release back in 2011 which didn’t go too well. Now, thankfully, God Eater will be releasing in the EU in summer 2016 on PlayStation 4, Vita and PC.
The games will release as God Eater 2: Rage Burst which continues directly from the first game which is also getting an enhanced, expanded edition dubbed God Eater Resurrection. Both titles are looking up to be two of the biggest titles of next year and the news doesn’t just stop there.
Additionally Bandai Namco will also be releasing the upcoming Tales of Berseria for both PlayStation 4 and PC and is the first game in the series to star a female protagonist. The title is said to be set in the same world as the recent Tales of Zestiria which was a stunning title on PlayStation 4. In other Tales news Tales of Symphonia is getting a steam release and is set for 2nd February 2016.
Lastly there are some new trailers for an upcoming JoJo fighting game dubbed JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven and is set for a PlayStation 4 release sometime in 2016. One Piece: Burning Blood is also releasing in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Vita and PC. Lastly, the Vita is getting Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs-Force and comes as a serious good bit of news for both Vita and Gundam fans.
With all this news it looks like Bandai Namco are giving the fans on what they want with all these releases and hopefully more to follow them in the new year. 2016 is looking to be a great year for gaming already and I can’t wait.
