Well, we asked what’s happening with Fable: Legends, and a few days later, we have answers. And it’s not looking good. Sadly, the game has been delayed slightly, and the planned open beta which is set to already be underway, will now be delayed until Spring 2016.
Having been in closed beta for a little while now, Lionhead Studios have decided to extend the beta for a few months and invite an additional 100,000 players into the game, prioritising those who have been waiting the longest.
That does mean however that the open beta has been pushed back until Spring 2016, with the full release being pushed back even further.
“To be honest, we didn’t anticipate just how big Fable Legends is becoming. It’s simply the most ambitious game we’ve ever created at Lionhead,” Lionhead wrote in a blog post. “We’ve built a unique and innovative multiplayer experience combining RPG and RTS gameplay which allows you to play, and use your gear seamlessly, across Xbox One and Windows 10. On top of this, we’ve built a beautiful new world full of grand stories and adventures. And it’s taking more time than we thought.”
Fable Legends is set to be a free-to-play multiplayer adventure game coming to Xbox One and PC which pits 4 hero players against 1 villain who controls various elements including enemies, traps, the environment, and more.
