The Game Awards 2015 have officially wrapped, and the show left fans of many franchises in joyous states with it’s reveals, announcements and premieres – and fortunately for Mortal Kombat fans, this includes them. That’s right – NetherRealm have revealed the characters of Kombat Pack 2! And it includes a goddamn Xenomorph!
Within the first quarter of 2016, fans can look forward to downloading some all-new Kombatants to perform countless Fatalities and Brutalities with, thanks to the release of “Kombat Pack 2”, and it comes with some pretty nifty new characters.
First up, we have Leatherface from the classic horror film Texas Chainsaw Massacre – that’s right, Jason Vorhees, we have another chainsaw-wielding badass stepping into the arena!
Next up, we have everyone’s favourite drunkard fighter, Bo Rai Cho, Master of the Drunken Fist, in all his debauch glory.
Thirdly, we have a rather interesting addition – fans of Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke can all rejoice in the return of all three of these characters… in the form of a new cybernetic character known as Tri-Borg. Cool, right?
Last, but certainly not least, the Alien/Predator rivalry is about to be re-ignited with the emergence of a Xenomorph from the classic film Alien, and it looks like it’s gonna be birthed from Baraka, wrist-blades and all!
Unfortunately, we don’t have a concrete release date for any of the characters in Kombat Pack 2, but we do know that we can expect a release in the first quarter of 2016.
Mortal Kombat X is available now on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a mobile edition of the game available on Android and iOS systems.
