If you’ve been feeling awfully lonely on the Xbox One version of ARK: Survival Evolved, you’re not alone. Fortunately you won’t be alone for long as a new patch is heading out that’ll bring split-screen multiplayer to the game.

In an upcoming patch for the Xbox One version of Studio Wildcard’s dinosaur island survival game, players will soon be able to bring a friend along as the promised split-screen support is on its way.

The patch, v731.0, will add the new feature that’ll support both online and local split-screen. Whether this will help with the game’s fairly choppy performance remains to be seen.

Digital Foundry recently put the Xbox One version through its paces and pretty much slaughtered it in its report, which you can read here. Though the game is still in development, it seems many expected the games performance to be much better.

Upon announcing the release of ARK: Survival Evolved on Xbox One, Studio Wildcard announced that they aim to release updates around two weeks after the PC version receives a patch.
