Video game movies haven’t had the best rep over the past couple of years, with pretty much every game-based moving being a bit of a flop, it’ll be interesting to see whether Activision Blizzard’s live-action Warcraft movie can turn heads.
Following the release of November’s trailer, which you can see below, Universal Pictures and Blizzard have released a new thirty second TV spot which should hopefully get people excited for the flick which is set to hit theatres this June.
Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:
The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.
So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
Warcraft stars Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Paula Patton, Dominic Cooper, and many more. The movie launches in theatres on June 10.
