Bandai Namco has revealed a handful of new screenshots for Dark Souls III, From Software’s third entry into the Dark Souls series and four Souls game overall. It shows a number of new locations and enemies, but also shows the return of a very old location.
The shots, which you can see below, shows a look at a Pyromancer taking on some maggot-like enemies, a new look at the High Wall of Lothric, and a Mercenary looking at a familiar location, Firelink Shrine, the first area in the original Dark Souls game, after the game’s tutorial.
This follows speculation that the game may return to the first game’s world in some way, and of course this presumably confirms that, though it does differ slightly compared to the original. Though things change, right? I mean, it’s been four years!
Dark Souls III launches on April 12, 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
