To celebrate the upcoming launch of Dark Souls III, Titan Comics has announced that it’ll be launching a comic book based on the insanely difficult game from From Software.
The first issue, that’ll have five different cover variants, will launch on April 6, ahead of the game’s April 12 release date. It’ll feature writing by George Mann and art by DC’s Alan Quah.
The comic itself won’t be an adaptation of the series as such, but will explore new stories within the game’s universe. The five covers will consist of two game covers, a sketch cover, and art from Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini.
On the series, Mann said:
I’m ‘dead’ excited to be working on this new series (see what I did, there). Dark Souls has a rich, original universe that’s just begging to be explored in comics, and I’m honoured to have the opportunity to delve in and tell some new stories within it. I’ve been a fan of the games for some time, so it’s a real thrill to be able to contribute to the mythology of the Hollows and their world.
