Last week Volition revealed a Saints Row game that never was. It was called Saints Row: Undercover and was a game due to launch on the PSP. Unfortunately that never happened, obviously, but that doesn’t mean you’ll never get to play the game.

Today Volition announced that they’ve released the game prototype for free, thanks to the developers releasing a playable ISO for the game, and has shared with with Unseen 64 to be “preserved and archived”.

Of course, the game is unfinished and likely only playable to a point, but if you want to see what Volition had up their sleeves a few years ago, head to the download links below:

MEGA
WeTransfer

In order to play the game, you’ll need to download a PSP emulator, such as PPSSPP, though Unseen 64 are calling for anyone who has this working on a modded console.

What do you think? Should all publishers and developers release cancelled prototypes to the public?
