I guess we have no reason attend LG’s pre-MWC conference later this month now, as the company has confirmed that it will indeed be unveiling the LG G5 at the event. Following the release of its first invitation, LG has sent out another colourful indication this time with the words “LG G5 Day,” I mean, if that’s not a rock solid confirmation, I don’t know what is.
Scheduled to be unveiled during LG’s event on February 21, 2016, the LG G5 is rumoured to be LG’s direct competitor with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7 as it seems the Korean company is pulling out all the stops. Interestingly, Samsung will unveil the Samsung Galaxy S7 the very same day.
According to rumours and apparent leaks, the LG G5 will come with a slightly curved all-metal body, a first for an LG flagship, and will offer either a 5.5 or 5.6-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and of course, minimal bezels that we’re all used to on LG’s devices. It’s set to come with the Snapdragon 820, with either 3GB or 4GB RAM.
There’s also an interesting rumour that the device will have a removable battery with a fairly unique way to remove said battery.
