This weekend saw the launch of the closed beta for The Division across all platforms, and if you were lucky enough to get a code, it was probably all you were playing this weekend. Unfortunately due to the sheer demand for access into the game, Ubisoft couldn’t let everyone in. Fortunately, however, they’ve extended the beta period for 24 hours to let more players get a chance to play one of this year’s most anticipated games.
In a post on the Ubisoft forums, the developer announced that the beta will be extended until February 2 due to the amount of interest around it. The beta was originally supposed to end today, so for those who missed out, you’ve got an extra day or two to play before it ends on February 2 at 6PM GMT.
They’re also bringing more people into the game too. If you pre-ordered The Division, chances are you’re already in the beta, but for those just taking a stab at getting a code and were placed on a wait list, there’s more of a chance for you to get a code too.
Most of us here at n3rdabl3 had a stab at the beta this weekend, and while opinions are mixed, the majority of us really enjoyed what the beta had to offer. We’re definitely looking forward to the game’s launch.
The Division launches on March 8, 2016.
