Are you prepared to step into the shiny shoes of Agent 47? Well be prepared as the beta for the game is coming sooner than you think. To celebrate the beta’s imminent launch, Square Enix and Io Interactive have released a new trailer giving players a taste of what’s to come.
The beta, which has been labelled, “The Prologue”, takes place 20 years before the main game’s first mission, Paris Showstopper. It’s set in a secret ICA training facility, and features “pivotal moments” in Agent 47’s life, such as his introduction into the ICA and the first time he met his handler, Diana Burnwood.
For those who have pre-ordered the game, you’ll have guaranteed access to the game’s beta, which feature two “free-form” training hits that are set to introduce players to the game’s features and mechanics in the upcoming title. Much like the main game, players are free to tackle these hits however they see fit.
If you’re yet to pre-order and feel like you may miss out on the game’s beta, not to worry as The Prologue will also be available as part of the first episode of Hitman, which launches on March 11, 2016.
The beta for the game is set to begin on PlayStation 4 on February 12 through February 14, and then on PC starting February 19 through February 21.
